The emir of Karaye Dr Ibrahim Abubakar the second has charged people of the Emirates to shun all acts of election malpractice and ensure peaceful conduct of the forthcoming local government council’s elections early next year.

Dr Ibrahim Abubakar stated this while Recieving the chairman of Kano independent electoral commission KANSEIC professor Garba Ibrahim sheka and his management team who visited the Emirates to sensitized people on the preparations of the forthcoming elections.

The emir said conducing peaceful elections was very Paramount in the development of democracy hence all possible measures should be implored in ensuring free and fair elections.

He charged the chairman and his management team to use their experiences in ensuring that the forthcoming elections was violence free.

Earlier the chairman of the commission professor Garba Ibrahim sheka said they were at the palace to Recieved royal blessings and intimate the emir of the line up of activities of the elections.

Professor Garba Ibrahim sheka solicited the support of all stakeholders in ensuring that the state witnessed a hitch free local government councils polls.
