Jigawa State and local government contributory pension scheme board has commenced payment of terminal benefit to state, local government and local Education Authority staff worth over nine hundred and sixteen million naira.

The Executive secretary of the board Alhaji Hashim Ahmed Fagam made this known during the commencement of the payment at pension house Dutse,the state capital.

According to him, four hundred and eighty seven staff retired from service and those who died in service as well as pensioners will be paid their entitlements.

Alhaji Hashim Ahmed said four hundred and two state, local government and LEA staff that retired from the service will be paid eight hundred and twenty six million naira as their gratuities, forty four staff died in service will be paid one hundred and four million naira to their next of kin.

He further explained that forty one next of kin of deceased pensioners will receive the sum of thirty million naira as outstanding pension balance.

He commended Governor Badaru Abubakar for the support and cooperation given to the board at all times.

The executive secretary pointed out that the board, does not extort money from anybody in processing payment.
