Kwara State Government has commenced  hand washing sensitisation campaign and distribution of sanitizers in schools to prevent outbreak of Coronavirus (COVID-19) in the state. 


Speaking at the flag off of the exercise in selected schools within Ilorin metropolis , the Commissioner for Education, Hajia Fatimah Ahmed said  the state was being proactive against the global epidemic.

According to her, the government has procured hand  gloves, sanitizers and other materials to be distributed to schools across the sixteen local government areas.

Hajia Ahmed maintained that Kwara state toke measures to curtail spread of the disease. 

The commissioner urged head teachers and principals in schools to commence  sanitation exercise and encourage keeping good  personal hygiene among the pupils and students.
