Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria- FRCN is taking steps to review and re-position its financial activities in line with the Policy Direction of Federal Government.
FRCN’s Director Internal Audit Mrs. Chioma Irechukwu made this known at the 90th Internal Audit Management meeting holding in Kaduna.
Mrs. Chioma Irechukwu noted that Heads of Internal Audit drawn from FRCN Zonal Stations were in Kaduna to review the 2019 financial records with a view to correct irregular issues that might occur in 2020.
The Director confirmed that as a matter of policy, the 2020 Act of the Federal Government had taken compliance very serious, hence the need to review remittances and other financial dealings of FRCN Zonal Stations.
Mrs. Irechukwu also maintained that the issue of Personnel Audit was key in other to address situations where staff who have died, retired or left the corporation were still drawing salaries from government.
Zonal Director, FRCN Kaduna, Buhari Auwalu said 2019 came with so many challenges, stressing that Internal Auditors were better positioned to help address problems bedeviling the corporation.
He further called on Audit Department of the Corporation to resolve the issue of Percentage from Adverts to avoid double taxation.
