Nutrition foods for children worth millions of Naira have narrowly escaped damage as the Kaduna State Traffic Law Enforcement Agency KASTELEA allegedly suspected to cause an accident around the NEPA roundabout in the state metropolis.

The nutrition foods belonging to the State Primary Healthcare Board are being supplied for children across the twenty-three Local Government Areas to fight malnutrition in the state.

A source who spoke under the condition of anonymity confirmed that the incident occurred at about five fifty-five in the morning on Wednesday, however, stressed that the state government had earlier directed the KASTELEA to start its operations from ten o’clock in the morning everyday surprisingly the personnel interruptedly stopped the container driver on the road which while trying to control it, failed and such resulted in the accident.

He also revealed that the food items were supposed to be taken to the State Property Management Agency KADFAMA where it’s normally stored the items.

The source further appealed to the state government to review the act establishing the KASTELEA toward safeguarding the socio-economic development of the residents of the state.

Some of the eyewitnesses suspected the KASTELEA personnel to have caused the accident as they abruptly stopped the driver on the road and made him confused and Missed control.
