Philanthropist Promises Academic Support To Orphan In Zango Kataf LGA

Blessing Reuben, the orphan whose parents are missing due to Bandit’s attack

A philanthropist, Mr. Jessy Arung has promised to shoulder the academic responsibility of Ten year Blessing Reuben whose Parents went missing more than 2 years ago due to bandits attacks in Zango Kataf Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

Mr. Atung who made the promise while presenting building materials donated to the community by Non governmental organization, Child is Gold Foundation said he was moved by the story of Blessing whose parents went missing at the heat of the crisis.

‘I was moved by sympathy, especially when she said she wants to be a lawyer which is my profession, that is why I took it upon myself to see to her academic pursuit towards realizing her dream,” Mr. Arung stated.

He said the main concern of the people was building materials such as Zinc for roofing, nails and timber.

“I have been trained to do humanitarian services and knowing that some months ago this particular community which is within my locality was invaded, over 30 people were killed and their houses completely burnt down. Therefore, for humanitarian purposes, I share in their pains that’s why I am here,” he explained.

Responding, District Head of the Community, Mallam Awan Bamaiyi who spoke throyuh Gora Benjamin Joshua commended the gesture stressing that there can not be development in a crisis ridden society.
