Christians have been urged to intensify prayer toward restoring back the glory of the nation for growth and development.

The District Superintendent, Assemblies of God church Saminaka, Reverend Haruna Tutu made the call in a message at the Annual Overcomers Rendezvous Program Of the Assemblies of God church, Nasarawa Road Kaduna.

Reverend Haruna Tutu stressed the need for religious leaders to intercede for the nation as part of effort to tackle the challenges of insecurity.

According to the clergyman, seeking forgiveness and forsaking vices by Nigerians was necessary for God to heal the land from effects of injustice and violence.

In a remark, Senior pastor, Assemblies of God Church, Nasarawa Road Kaduna, Reverend Paul Adim said the annual convention with the theme ‘Retreating to Advance’ was targeted at bringing believers together to have themselves renewed by the word of God.

Rev. Adim charged leaders to ensure the realization of the vision of Nigeria’s founding fathers through formulation and implementation of sound policies for sustainable growth and development.
