President Buhari Returns From Qatar

President Muhammadu Buhari has returned to Nigeria from Qatar where he attended the just-concluded United Nations Conference of the 46 least Developed Countries.

The presidential Jet landed at the Umaru Musa Yaradua Intentional Airport and was received by the Katsina State Governor, Alhaji Aminu Bello Masari after which he proceeded to inspect the military Guard of Honour before departing for his hometown, Daura

President Muhammadu Buhari will continue to be in Daura where he is expected to cast his Votes for the forthcoming Gubernatorial and state assembly elections.

While in Doha, the President called on developed and developing nations to grant duty-free and quota-free market access for products originating from the world’s 46 least-developed countries to ensure their integration into regional and global value chains.

He made the call at the United Nations Conference of Least Developed Countries, held in Doha, the capital of Qatar.

During a courtesy call on President Buhari by the Iranian Vice President, Mohsen Mansouri on the sidelines of the UN Summit taking place in Doha, he assured the Iranian Vice President of Nigeria’s readiness to strengthen existing relations with the Islamic Republic.

President Muhammadu Buhari further called on developed and developing nations to grant duty-free and quota-free market access for products originating from the world’s 46 least-developed countries to ensure their integration into regional and global value chains.

President Muhammadu Buhari left for the 5th United Nations Conference on Least Developed Countries (LCDs) in Doha, the capital city of Qatar on Saturday.

A statement by the Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Mallam Garba Shehu, said the President’s visit was based on an invitation by the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.
