APC Guber Candidate Plans to Improve IGR in Niger

The All Progressives Congress APC Governortorial candidate in Niger state, Alh Umar Mohammed Bago plans to embark on urban renewal scheme to attract foreing investors to the state as a deliberate strategy to improve its Internally Generated Revenue.

He stated this while interacting with journalists at the IBB Pen House Minna the Niger state capital.

Alh Umar Mohammed Bago explained that if elected as Governor he would make deliberate efforts to establish industrial pack in Suleja and Tafa local governments Council due to their their proximity with the Federal Territory Abuja the seat of power to achieve maximum results.

He also plans to take advantage of the over one million vehicular movements in and out of Niger state, increased employment opportunities and IGR as well as curb youth restiveness among others

Similarly he said he would embarked on ICT development targeted at the youths and women affirmative will be given priority while scholarship scheme wiould be improved upon especially in specialized areas of development to cater for herdsman in an attrmpt to provide an all inclusive governance.

Alh Umar Mohammed Bago pointed out that if elected during the forthcoming. Governorship and House of Assembly elections as the brand new Governor of Niger state,he will convert Shiroro hotel Minna to Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University Lapai Teaching Hospital and College of Education Minna to the University of Education respectively.

According to him in an effort to provide incentive for teachers those in the rural areas would be receiving double payment to discouraged them from leaving the profession for greener pastures.

On agriculture Alh Umar Mohammed Bago further said they would leverage on irrigation farming year in year out through its dams as well to ensure the use of state proximity to Abuja to establish light railway from Abuja – Minna to ease the transportation problem for Nigerlites especially civil servants.

In his response Chairman Niger State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ Comrade Abu Nmodu said that as members of fourth estate of the realms Journalists are always ready to support any candidate wishing to impact positively on the lives of its citizenry to proving an all inclusive governance.
