PMB Commissions Hadejia Valley Irrigation Scheme,Other Projects In Jigawa

President Muhammadu Buhari commends the effort of Jigawa state Governor Badaru Abubakar for the execution of developmental projects across the state over the last seven years of his administration.

He stated this while commissioning Hadejia Valley Irrigation Scheme in Auyo local government and 11 Kilometer unity pentagon to fanisau dual carriageway in Dutse, the state capital.

President Buhari further explained that, the projects are in line with his administration’s agenda of improving the living standard of the masses.

The President also commissioned the 50.3 metres second Taller flag in Africa along Maiduguri road, birnin kudu local government area, 

Speaking during the commissioning, the Chairman of Malam Alu Agro Allied company, Alhaji Farouk Adamu Aliyu said the Agro farm sitting on a 80 hectare land in Faru village, is changing the perception of mechanised farming in Nigeria.

According to him, it was a direct response to the call by the President Muhammadu Buhari led administration for Nigerians to return to agriculture as the mainstay of nation’s economy, rather than rely solely on oil as the only source of revenue for the country.

The farm also have 250 square metre green house, where they produce other greenhouse vegetables as well as another 500 greenhouse which is being used as nursery.

Farouk Adamu Aliyu pointed out that, the greenhouses are all foreign oriented, which have been installed to produce a variety of vegetables.

He said, the farm also have livestock section, fishery unit as well as fertilizer blending plant.

Some of the dignitaries that attended the commissioning include the state Deputy Governor Mallam Umar Namadi, former Jigawa State Governor, Dr Sule Lamido, The minister of Aviation Hadi Sirika among others
