Gov. Sule Felicitates Christian on Occasion of Xmas

Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State, has felicitate with all the Christians faithful in the State on the joyful occasion of Christmas in commemoration of the birth of Jesus Christ.

A statement signed and issued to Newsmen in lafia by the acting Governor Dr. Emmanuel Akabe quoted the Governor as saying, the birth of Jesus Christ, symbolizes love, peace, humility and, dignity for humankind adding that Jesus epitomizes self-sacrifice, good neighborliness, charity and reconciliation among human race.

The statement, calls on Christians for sober reflection and reaffirmation of moral rectitude as exemplified by Jesus, while appealing to Christians in the State and in diaspora to imbibe the virtues and teachings of Jesus Christ by showing affection and sharing of love with one another at all times as enshrined in the Holy Book.

It also used the occasion to remind all Christians on the significance of the sacred period to continue to pray for sustainable peace, health wellbeing and prosperity of the nation, as well as to pray for peaceful transition, security and harmonious co-existence of the people of the State and the country at large.

The statement then call on all road users to be cautious and considerate by obeying traffic rules and regulations so as to ensure safety of the roads during the festivities and beyond. and re-echo that, the officials of the Federal Road Safety Corps and other relevant agencies are obliged to step up their operations and surveillance to ensure accident-free yuletide season.

The Governor wish all Christians merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year.
