Community engagement and development has been described as a major approach for equitable governance .

This is according to Senator Uba Sani , the Alll Progressive Congress APC gubernatorial candidate of Kaduna State .

While speaking during a media parley organised by NUJ Kaduna State council for declaration of mandates and manifestos by Gubernatorial and National assembly candidates , Uba Sani promised to run an inclusive government if elected .

He said the contributions and support of religious , traditional and community leaders will be of immense help in fighting insecurity and other vices bedeviling Kaduna State .

Senator Uba Sani charged the elites in the state to support the downtrodden , stressing that although times are hard , the wealthy in the society must see the need to reach out to the indigents as much as possible to create succor as government alone cannot cater for all .

He said in other states, corporate organisation and other stakeholders empower and support citizens in other to augment government efforts and Kaduna should not be different .

In the area of infrastructure, he said the l urban renewal project executed by the administration of Governor Nasir El-rufai is quite commendable and will also be taken to the rural areas if he emerges.

The Gubernatorial candidate promised to build on the wide engagement and inclusion of women in governance as pioneered by the present administration , stressing that women have proven their worth and ability in various positions they have occupied.

He also extended a hand of friendship to NUJ Kaduna State Council, charging journalist to be interrogative and investigative to ensure factual reporting.

Highlight of the event was presentation of award to Senator Uba Sani in honour of his humanitarian services , especially the deployment of resources to the economic empowerment of the less privilege in the state.
