Governor Bello Mohammed Matawalle of Zamfara has announced that the state government will soon establish an oil mill and plastic processing industry in the state.

He stated this when he received in audience, the State Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture at the Government House under the leadership of its Chairman, Alhaji Hamza Musa Maibulawus

The governor said payment for all equipment had already been effected and would soon be shipped into the Country.

According to him, one of the companies will be able to extract oil from groundnut, soybean and cotton seeds while the plastic company can produce jerry cans, gallons and other assorted plastic materials for commercial and domestic purposes.

He also announced that, during his last trip to Turkey with some members of the Chamber, a lot of digitally based and simple technology equipment have been surveyed and urged the Chamber to come up with a report on the visits so that the Government can assist in the establishment of some of these factories in the state.

Governor Matawalle called on the Chamber to organise youth in the state and come up with a workable program that would engage them to be productive and self-reliant and also present it for possible implementation.

Earlier, the President of the state chamber of commerce, Alhaji Hamza Musa Mai Bulawus said their trip had given them vast knowledge on how to develop the state economically and commercially to meet the global market.
