Uphold Values Of Journalism- NUJ To New Chapel Chairman

A new executive of the NUJ Newage Network Kaduna Chapel has been inaugurated.

Safiyanu Jibril emerged as the new and pioneer Chairman of the Newage Network Kaduna Chapel.

While swearing in the new executive in Kaduna, NUJ Kaduna State Council Secretary, Mr. Gambo Santos, called on the new executive to uphold the values of journalism and promote the welfare of its members.

He said the Union’s main objective is to ensure professionalism.

In his speech shortly after swearing in, the new Newage Network Chapel Chairman, Safiyanu Jibril pledged to justify the confidence reposed in him, saying all hands must be on deck to ensure NUJ record more success in its drive to instill ethics of the profession.

He then thanked Newage Network management for thier support towards creating an NUJ chapel in the organisation.

Other members inaugurated are Manasseh Whyte, Vice Chairman, Benedict Paul Onoja, Secretary, Mustapha Garba, Assistant Secretary, Sophie Labari, Financial Secretary, Lucas Barnabas, Treasurer, while Lawal Nuhu will serve as Auditor.

All the positions emerged unopposed.
