The North west zone of All Progressive Congress Party APC has advised political contenders for various positions in the country to direct their minds towards accepting elections outcome in goodwill for peaceful transition and progress of the country.
Zonal Chairman of the party Mallam Salihu Lukman made the call while speaking to journalists after a meeting with states Chairmen of the party in Kaduna.
He explained that the recent experience of litigations was an indication that some politicians were not willing to accept defeat , despite the inevitable outcome of winners and losers emerging.
Mallam Salihu Lukman however, noted that the party has made significant progress in its reconciliation process and waxing stronger towards victory in the 2023 general election.
The zonal chairman of the party who earlier had a closed door meeting with the chairmen of the zone, disclosed that they states briefied the zonal secretariat on the progress in their various states.
According to him, in the last few months, some aggrieved members had returned to the party and willing to work in their various states.
Mallam Salihu Lukman emphasized that the zonal party executives were committed to making the party more stronger in Zamfara, Katsina and other states in the zone which he described as strong holds of the party.
According to him, plans were on the way for the party to inaugurate its northwest zone presidential campaign team.
