FGC Minna: Construction Of Multi Purpose Hall Reaches Appreciable Level – PC

The construction of over one hundred and six million naira three thousand capacity multi purpose hall project at the Federal Government College Minna Niger state has reached an advanced stage.  

Principal of the College Alhaji Sirajo Darda’u stated this while interacting with Newsmen in Minna.

Alhaji Sirajo Darda’u explained that the construction of multi purpose hall and other projects are under the capital projects executed by Federal Ministry of Education at Federal Government College Minna have been yielding positive results.

According to him a sport pavilion football field basket ball and lawn tennis among others which are also under construction on the same place are meant to keep the students fit and to catch them young for local and International competition.  

Alh Sirajo Darda’u said on their own they have embark on the renovation of one block of twenty two classrooms comprising that of boys and girls annually towards providing conducive atmosphere for effective teaching and learning at the college.

The Principal of Federal Government College Minna who commended the support of Minister of Education Malam Adamu Adamu however lamented that without subvention from Federal Government they cannot even feed their students because payment of twenty five thousand naira school fees per term  by some parents have become a serious problem and called for a change of attitude to succeed.

Alh Sirajo Darda’u also expressed dismay that even though they provide fish meat chickens and butter in the menu of its students increase in prices of goods have been militating against smooth operation due to insufficient funds at their disposal.

Federal Government College Minna had one hundred and forty one permanent and pensionable staff six vice principals with different schedules for administrative convenience as well as a robust synergy with security agencies and vigilante that provide first class security services within and outdide the college.
