Ex-VP Atiku Visits Emir Of Zazzau, Seeks Blessings

The Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Alhaji Atiku Abubakar has commenced campaign tour to Kaduna state with a visit to the Emir of Zazzau Malam Ahmed Bamalli.


Atiku Abubakar is accompanied by the Director General of the PDP Presidential Campaign, Gov. Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto state, former governors of Adamawa and Niger state Mr Boni and Muazu Babangida Aliyu.


Sen. Dino Melaye, serving and former members of the National Assembly among others are in Abubakar’s entourage.


While in kaduna state, Alhaji Atiku is billed to visit Kaduna city and Kafanchan as well as attend an interactive session with presidential candidates organized by Arewa Joint Committee in Kaduna.


He said the visit to the Palace was to pay homage to the Emir of Zazzau Mallam Ahmed Bamalli, seek royal blessings and intimate him on his outing.


“My visit here is a homecoming, but it has been a tradition of our campaign programmes to seek the blessings, advice and guidance of our royal fathers.


“I’m also here to congratulate and rejoice with you on the conferment of national honour given to you by the president.


“With this visit, we hope to boost and strengthen our campaign activities geared towards national unity and development,” he explained.

Earlier, the Director General of the campaign team and Governor of Sokoto state, Alhaji Aminu Tambuwal said as the party commences it’s political activities, it needs and requires blessings from traditional leaders, hence the visit.

“By this, we hope to receive guidance and prayers to enable us succeed in our campaign activities.” Tambuwal said.

Responding, the Emir of Zazzau Mallam Ahmed Bamalli advised politicians to play by the rule of the game and avoid comments and utterances that may jeopardise national unity.
