Retirement Pull out Parade in honour of Commissioner of Police in Niger state

All the eight first class emirs of Niger state have unanimously agreed to offer the retiring Commissioner of Police Mr Monday Bala Kuryas a plot of land at any place of his choice in the state to construct a house and live permanently.  

The eight first class emirs who spoke through the Galadima Kontagora Alh Yusuf Shehu Galadima on the occasion of his retirement pull out parade in Minna described outgoing Commissioner of Police Mr Monday Bala Kuryas as a complete gentleman.

They explained that Niger state council of traditional rulers are apreciative of the expertee brought in by Mr Monday Bala Kuryas in fighting crime and criminality during his little stay as Commissioner of Police in charge of Niger state and wished him well in his future endeavour.

In his remarks Niger state Governor Alh Abubakar Sani Bello congratulated Mr Monday Bala Kuryas for successfully completing sixty years of service and also appreciated him for his sacrifice and commitment to duties which he said has brought a lot of positive things to the state.

Represented by Commissioner of Internal Security and Humanitarian Affairs Mr Emmanuel Umar Governor Abubakar Sani Bello said his retirement comes with mixed feelings of excitement for a successful tenure and a glorious exit but again they are going to missed his wise counsel as a toroughbread security expert.

In his valedictory address retiring Commissioner of Police in charge of Niger state Mr Monday Bala Kuryas said during his tenure three hundred and twenty six suspects were arrested for engaging in acts ranging from armed robbery capable homicide kidnapping cattle rustling and rape among others out of which two hundred and eighty four have been charged to court.

He said they were successfully prosecuted while forty two others are under investigations and awaiting trial.

Mr Monday Bala Kuryas however appealed to the Federal Government to provide adequate equipments such as amoured personnel carriers anti riot equipment billet proof vests operational vehicles long and short range tear gas and sophisticated arms to the police to enable them discharge their duties deligently.

He commended Governor Abubakar Sani Bello of Niger state for his support and encouragement and the Inspector General of Police Usman Alkali Baba as well as the synergy existing between them and other sister security agencies in Niger state and called for more to succeed.
