Nuhu Bamalli Polytechnic Organises Innovation Expo 2022

National Board for Technical Education, (NBTE) has directed Polytechnics in the country to prioritize the training of students on skill acquisition to enable them to become self-reliant.

Executive Director of the Board Prof. Idris Bugaje, gave the directive during the 2022 innovation Expo programmes organized by the Department of Electrical Electronics Engineering Nuhu in Bamalli Polytechnic Zaria.

Prof. Idris Bugaje explained that the Board had keyed to the national skills qualifications framework to develop occupation standards for the formal and informal categories.

He however, confirmed that the Board had already developed a curriculum into various categories whereby which at end would award them certificate.

In a message, Commissioner of Education Kaduna State Hajiya Habiba, urged Federal and state governments to sponsor students who excelled in the field of technology to further thier academic status.

Hajiya Habiba,who reaffirmed the State government plans to support technology also called on Nigerians to always patronize the goods made in the country for rapid economic growth.

Earlier, the Rector Nuhu Bamalli polytechnic, Eng. Druh’d Kabir Abdullahi, said the exhibition was organised to allow investors who have an interest on made in Nigeria products to have more job opportunities and to enhance production capacity.

He noted that the college had participated severally in the annual exhibition competition organized by The Federal Ministry of Science and technology where they showcased products.
