NAKASS Engages Stakeholders On Security Challenges

Kaduna State students studying in various tertiary institutions across the country have been urged to use their academic potentials towards proffering lasting solutions to security challenges.

Senator representing Kaduna Central at the National Assembly, Senator Uba Sani made the call at a one-day security summit organised by the National Association of Kaduna State Students-NAKASS held in Kaduna.

Senator Uba Sani explained that through their various platforms, students can offer valuable inputs on issues of national importance.

He maintained that conferences and seminars offer avenues for students to brainstorm on key issues such as insecurity and other forms of crimes, and proffer lasting solutions for national development.

The legislator commended the student body for organising the summit, describing it as timely.

Also speaking, Kaduna State Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Mr Samuel Aruwan noted that students have a critical role to play in midwifing a better Nigeria by being focused, disciplined and by being agents of peace through dialogue and meaningful engagements.

He called for concerted effort in tackling all forms of security challenges by upholding the virtue of patriotism.

In a remark, President of NAKASS, Comrade Ibrahim Suleiman said the summit was organised to engage relevant stakeholders on the need to assess the current security situation and the role of students in proferring lasting solutions.
