Independent Anniversary : CNNC Women Wing Supplicates For Nigeria

The Women wing, Congress of Northern Nigerian Christians has organised a prayer summit for Nigeria at sixty two to make supplication for the progress and peace of the country.

  The prayer summit held at Evangelical Church Winning All -ECWA English Service Dominion Avenue High Cost Kaduna, had women in their hundreds turn out to pray for Nigeria on the occasion of her independence anniversary.

  Kaduna State woman leader Congress of Northern Nigerian Christians, Deaconess Hannatu Usman Biniyat said the prayer summit is in light of the happenings bedeviling Nigeria , but mostly in obedience to God's command for believers to pray for their leaders and country.

  President, Congress of Northern Nigerian Christians Elder Stephen Baba Bangoji in his address called on Christians to emulate Jesus Christ by loving one another thereby uniting the church.

    Kaduna State Chairman of CNNC Elder Bulus Emishe  Dogara while speaking to Radio Nigeria expressed gladness over the success of the programme ,saying that insecurity and corruption has affected the growth and development of Nigeria and only continuous  prayers can deliver the country.

    Host Pastor, ECWA English Service Dominion Avenue High Cost Kaduna, Reverend Mathew Iliya said the Bible text taken from lamentations chapter 2 verse 19 depicts the present day situation, and called on the women to fully participate in the forthcoming twenty twenty three general elections.

Chairman, Christian Association of Nigeria CAN, Kaduna chapter Reverend Joseph Hayab in a message said the prayers could not have come at a more better time,calling on women and Nigerians to be fervent as the lord is faithful to hear and answer prayers .

 He noted that calm is  gradually restored in some troubled parts of Kaduna, saying people now travel through those parts relatively safely even with minimal security.

 Highlight of the summit was various prayer sessions , and graced with the presence of former HEKAN President, Reverend Emmanuel Zigau,  former head of service Kaduna state- Mrs. Hannau I. Ugah, wife of former Deputy Governor Mrs. Naomi Bajoga  among others with the theme ‘ARISE AND CRY OUT’
