Victims Of Violent Crimes Receive Free Medical Intervention In Kaduna

Residents of Kaduna, particularly those that fell victims of crime and mass killings have received free medical intervention towards addressing their health needs and upkeep.


At the event organized by House of Justice, a non-governmental organization in Kaduna , the host, Gloria Ballason said many of the victims have been abandoned to fend for themselves.

She explained that the event started with a lecture on forensic evidence gathering which gives the participants the opportunity to share experiences before being provided with medical intervention.

“Because of the high scale of killings, and the need to gather evidence to find Justice, there was the need to do a training on forensic evidence gathering for accountability”

Gloria Ballason observed that a lot of the victims go through intense stress and trauma, adding that the organization has also embarked on online and offline counseling for them.

State Chairman of the Nigeria Bar Association Barrister Mohammed Tajuddeen urged Nigerians to always go for medical check ups to know their health status.

A beneficiary, Madam Veronica expressed satisfaction with the test carried out on her which include random sugar, hepatitis, malaria parasite and also prescriptions.

Earlier, Head of the Malluma Yakubu Medical Center which provided the free intervention Sophia Ogene said the turn up of participants was impressive , stressing that the center was the first in Africa and third in the world providing such services.
