The Emir of Kazaure, Alhaji Najib Hussaini Adamu has directed Districts Heads in his domain to ensure the sustainability of the Open Defecation Free in their respective districts.

He gave the directive, when chairman and members of the state taskforce on open defecation paid him a courtesy visit at his palace.

Alhaji Najib Hussani Adamu who was represented by Makaman kazaure, Alhaji Jamilu Umar Adamu explained that the burden of sustaining the programme mostly is with the traditional leaders who are custodian of the people.

He therefore advised those who have the ability to construct public commercial toilets at places of public gathering such as motor parks and markets to do so, as part of their contribution of sustaining the ODF programme.

The Emir called on the committee to provide disposal vehicles in each of the five emirates which include Dutse, Ringim, Hadejia, Gumel and Kazaure.

Earlier, the Acting Chairman of the committee, and managing director RUWASA Engineer Labaran Adamu, noted with appreciation the commitment shown by the emir towards the success of the ODF program in the four local government areas of the domain.

According to him,  traditional leaders have vital role in ensuring the sustainability of the programme in the state.
