Rev Joseph John Hayab who is the Vice President of CAN in the North and also Chairman of the apex Christian organisation in Kaduna State, said in an interview on Tuesday, September 20, that security agents should go after these criminals until these worshippers were rescued and returned to their homes.

According to him,” the kidnapped worshippers went to participate in an All Night Worship of the Cherubim and Seraphim Church in Kurmin Juwa a community just behind the market at Kasuwan Magani. of Kajuru Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

“ These bandits took away 57 people, some escaped on the way while 43 are still with the bandits and they are demanding a huge sum of 200 million.”

He urged Nigerians to continue doing their best in carrying out this war until victory is assured because the enemies of the people and the state are still strategizing to cause pain.

Rev Hayab also appealed to people in Church to be more vigilant, that it’s not enough for us to go into our church without taking measures.

“I am appealing to Christians especially in Kaduna State and in many parts of the North where this criminality is still going on, that if we must go to a church of 100 people, 30 people can be outside watching, we could easily help to avert the situation rather than lamenting”

“so it’s not yet over, let’s not be carried away by this story of victory that we are hearing.

Don’t think if you’re outside you’re not part of the worship, the one who sits outside and those inside receive the same blessings.”

As a church we pledged to continue to give our support in telling what we know,so that it helps the security agencies in addressing this situation.

We appeal and call on the government to urgently do something and ensure that things like this don’t continue to happen, to remove fear and confusion in the mind of people and to go after these criminals until these victims are being rescued and returned to their homes.

Rev. Hayab said government and security agencies must redouble effort and mellow down the celebration until victory is achieved.
