Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) and the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) Lagos Branch, have jointly organized a one-day Training for Lawyers In it’s bid to enhance user
seamless transactions on its registration portal.
A statement by the Head of Media CAC, Mr Rasheed Mahe on Monday, says the training which took place at the Nigerian Law School, Victoria Island, Lagos is attended by 271 physically while 1125 virtually.
Speaking, the Registrar General RG of the Commission, Alhaji Garba Abubakar, represented by the Assistant Director, Registry Mr Ayomike Jolomi harped on the need for accredited Agents to be guided by the published checklist and other regulations on the Commission’s website to ensure hitch-free interface.
Also, the Technical Assistant to the RG, Mohammed Abdullahi in a presentation, rolled out the rudiments of the online interface and spoke extensively on methods of ensuring hitch-free, pre and post-incorporation online filings on the CRP.
Mohammed Abdullahi who maintained that the CAC would ensure continuous improvement of its processes via feedback from such engagements revealed that by the end of October 2022, more services would be available including online Alteration of Meat and Amendment of Constitution.
Other members of the CAC Technical team, Suleiman Girei and Talle Mohammed spoke extensively on Name Reservation, Registrar General’s Consent , Registration of Limited Partnership and Limited Liability Partnership amongst others.
Both speakers charged the participants to always endeavor to be guided by the rules to ensure successful transactions.
Earlier, in an opening remark, the Chairman NBA Lagos, Ikechukwu Uwanna said the training was amongst others aimed at improving the performance of members during their respective interface with the CAC online portal.
Ikechukwu Uwanna who applauded the Commision’s reform initiatives, revealed that the idea of the training was conceived during the December, 2021 meeting of the branch as CAC was critical to their operations.
He, therefore, urged participants to utilize the opportunity provided by the training to enhance their user ability to efficiently serve their clients.
Speaking in the same vein, the Chairman NBA Lagos CAC Liaison Committee, Okey Ilofulunwa, enjoined the participants to adequately utilize the experience garnered at the event.
The statement reports that the high point of the event includes physical and virtual online questions and answers sessions as well as a practical clinic staged to entertain complaints for instant resolution.
