FG Partners Cuba In Vaccine Production

Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation, Dr Adeleke Mamora says the Federal Government will collaborate with Republic of Cuba in vaccine production.

Dr Adeleke stated this when Ambassador of Republic of Cuba Mrs Clara Pulido paid him a visit in his office in Abuja.

He said that the collaboration would ensure companies producing vaccines in the Republic of Cuba be established in Nigeria for fruitful bilateral relationship.

The Minister noted that Cuba had done so much in primary health sector and could be replicated in the country for the growth and development of Nigeria.

The Minister said vaccine production would play a key role in tackling the emerging and re-emerging diseases in the country, such as Malaria, Lassa fever, monkey pox as all diseases have been declared emergency, globally.

“Knowledge and experience of those who are ahead of us in Vaccine technology is something we must learn, through technology transfer” said the Minister.

The Ambassador of Cuba, Mrs Clara Puildo expressed hope that vaccine production was for betterment of the society.
