In a bid to rearrange the security architecture of Zamfara State, the commissioner of Police, Zamfara State Police Command, CP Kolo Yusuf has patrolled the entire 100KM Gusau – Mafara Road for assessment.
This was contained in a statement signed and made available to Radio Nigeria in Gusau by the police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, SP Shehu Mohammed who said, during the patrol the CP supervised the operational capacity of Tactical/Conventional operatives deployed on the road to ensure safety of commuters plying the road.
SP Shehu explained that during the patrol, CP Kolo also mapped out some salient and strategic points along the highway which would be fortified with the deployment of Police mobile force, counter terrorism Unit, CTU, and conventional Police Operatives.
According to him, the CP had equally visited joint operatives of the Operation Hadarin Daji Nippling Point at Maru town and charged them to always to be conscious of their safety and that of the community they are protecting.
In the same vein, CP Kolo Yusuf visited Emir of Talata Mafara, Alhaji Bello Mohammed Barmo and assured him the commitment and determination of the police and other security agencies to restore normalcy in the state and requested members of the public on active intelligence sharing with securities for effective policing.
Shehu added that, the Commissioner of Police similarly visited the Commander, 207 quick response group, Mr D.M Komo and solicited for harmonious working synergy among the security Operatives for effective service delivery.
