Flooding : Tinubu Donates N50M To Jigawa State Victims

The All Progressives Congress APC Presidential Candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu has donated fifty million naira to flood victims in Jigawa state.

The Plateau state Governor Mr Simong Lalong disclosed the donation when the APC Flag bearer visited Governor Badaru Abubakar at government house Dutse, the Jigawa state capital.

In his speech, Bola Ahmed Tinubu explained that, they were in the state to commiserate with the government and people of the state over the recent flood disaster, which resulted to the death of fifty people and destroyed properties worth millions of naira in the state.

“The Flood disaster is an act of God Almighty. This token is just to relief the victims not to compensate them”

He prayed to Allah to protect future occurrence of such disaster in the state and the country at large.

Responding, Governor Badaru Abubakar expressed gratitude to the APC leader Bola Tinubu for his sympathy visit to government and flood victims in the state. 

Also speaking, the Chairman Council of Chiefs, the Emir of Hadejia Dr Adamu Abubakar Maje appealed to Governor Badaru Abubakar to facilitate more donations because people suffering following the flood disaster in the state.

He also pleaded with Bola Ahmed Tinubu to visit Hadejia emirate where the APC flag bearer has not visited before.

Dr Adamu Abubakar Maje said, the fifty million naira will be distributed to the flood victims in the five emirate councils which include Dutse, Hadejia, Ringim, Kazaure and Gumel.

Radio Nigeria reports that, Bola Ahmed Tinubu was accompanied by Plateau state Governor, National Chairman of the APC, Alhaji Abdullahi Adamu former EFCC boss, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu among others.
