Women group from ten wards in Kajuru local government area of Kaduna State have resolved to vote for a woman irrespective of party affiliation as the House of Representative member representing the Kajuru Chikun federal constituency so as to balance gender disparity in the political structure of the country.

Leader of the women delegation Madam Mary Danboyi who paid a courtesy visit to House of Representative contestant under the platform of African Democratic Congress Party ADC Hajiya Hawwa Abdullahi in Kaduna said the present situation of poverty, joblessness and insecurity was an indication that Nigeria political space should be occupied by women to test their ability for a better future.

Madam Mary Danboyi lamented that the constituency had been left behind in terms of infrastructural development which has negatively affected the unity and prosperity of the area.

According to her, the women in their number have come together to take action for a better prospect of their future and that of their children.

Responding, the ADC House of Representative Candidate Hajiya Hawwa Abdullahi informed the women group that one of the basic reason for her to contest the position was to help in bringing laws that will lift women and youth from the present predicament of joblessness and poverty.

She commented the women for their foresight and courage to supporting women in political struggle towards changing the political architecture of Nigeria in favour of women and youths
