We Are Committed To End Banditry In Zamfara State -CP

Zamfara State Police Command has reassured it’s determination and commitment to end banditry in Zamfara State.

The New Commissioner of Police posted to the Command, CP Kolo Yusuf gave the assurance in a statement signed and made available to Radio Nigeria in Gusau by the command’s image maker, SP Shehu Mohammed, saying the visit was part of effort to strengthening the community policing strategy in fighting all forms of criminal activities in Zamfara State.

“The visit was for the CP to familiarise himself with the Traditional Rulers being among major stakeholders in combating activities of criminal elements across the state, so that both can be on the same page for effective service delivery”.

SP Shehu noted that, While at the Emir’s Palace, the Commissioner of Police thanked His Royal Highness for his unalloyed support and collaboration with the Police and other security agencies, and assured the Emir of the Command’s tireless commitment to ending the lingering security challenges bedeviling the state for over a decade.

On his part, the Emir of Anka, commended the Inspector General of Police, IGP Usman Alkali Baba for posting CP Kolo Yusuf to Zamfara whose track records have been testified by all and sundry.

The Emir therefore pledges more support and cooperation to the CP and all the security agencies by extension, to enable them achieve the mandate of safeguarding lives and property of the citizens.

The Commissioner of Police was accompanied by the DC Operations, DCP Dauda Mamman psc, Commanding Officers 42/78 PMF Squadrons, Commander CTU Base 18 Gusau among others.
