Bauchi State : Civil Society Organizations Advocate Improved Security In Schools

Bauchi State Network of Civil Society Organisations BASNEC has called on critical stakeholders in the education sector to join hands towards promoting safety and security in both government and private schools.

The Chairman of the organisation Mr Jinjiri Garba made the call when he led other executives on an advocacy visit to the National Chairman Association of Proprietors of Private Schools in his office.

Mr Jinjiri Garba who was represented by the Executive Director Young Leader Network Seun Justin Onaride solicited for more partnership with the association in the areas of formulation and implementation of policies and other safety measures in their respective schools.

He called for the establishment of security committee in private schools to enhance safety and ensure conducive learning for students

Jinjiri who expressed worry over the high number of school dropouts in the Northeast, attributed the anomaly to insecurity bedeviling the region.

Responding the Chairman Proprietors of Private Schools Association Reverend Musa Bogoro said the rate of insecurity in schools is very alarming, hence the need for the partnership to achieving the desired goals.
