Residents of Kwara state have been urged to support the community policing initiative to ensure security in the nooks and crannies of the state.
The Balogun Gambari of Ilorin, Alhaji Aliyu Mohammed made the call while speaking at a Security Interactive Forum held at his palace in Ilorin .
He said there is the need for collaboration of all stakeholders to ensure safety and security.
Alhaji Mohammed called on parents to ensure adequate training of their children to prevent them from joining bad gangs.
He advised the youths to shun all acts that are capable of destroying their hard earned reputation.
In his remark the Sardauna of Ilorin, Alhaji Shehu Zamanlafiya , urged the youths to learn skills that will make them self reliant.
Earlier in his address the Senior Special Assistant to Kwara state governor on Strategy, Mallam Saadudeen Salahudeen appealed to all community leaders to support the community policing initiative to ensure peace and security in the state.
