MNJTF Force Commander Seeks Partnership To End Terrorism

The Force Commander Multinational Joint Task Force-MNJTF, Major General Abdul Khalifah Ibrahim has expressed the desire of the Force to partner with other regional forces to defeat terrorism in the Lake Chad area and the Sahel.

General Ibrahim made this known when he received the new Force Commander of Operation Barkhane, French born Major General Bruno Baratz in the MNJTF Headquarters Camp Farcha Ndjamena Chad. 

The Force Commander appreciated the cooperation between Operation Barkhane and the MNJTF noting that the feat should be sustained. 

He equally thanked the troops for their stabilizing role in the fight against terrorism in the region.

In a remark, General Bruno Baratz lauded the work of the MNJTF whom he said have done a great deal in bringing stability to their area of operations. 

He said Operation Barkhane is in the process of leaving Mali, however they will continue to work with other countries in tackling the scourge of terrorism in the region. 

In another development, the Outgoing Commander Sector 1 MNJTF ( Cameroun) Brigadier General Bouba Debekreo has presented his successor Colonel Tiokap Loti for a meeting and briefing  with the Force Commander. 

The new Commander said he is happy to join the team and would work collaboratively to achieve the mission of the Taskforce.
