Education Crucial To Societal Development- District Head

The District Head of Tsanyawa, Alhaji Mu’awuyya Abbas Sunusi, has charged parents to redouble their efforts by sending their children to school, as education is the backbone of any meaningful society.

Alhaji Mu’awuyya made the call during the graduation ceremony of a school in Kano.

The district head who doubles as Dan Makwayon Bichi explained that, Bichi Emirate council was committed to the development of education at all levels.

He said Kano state government was working assiduously in providing free and compulsory education according to global standards.

Alhaji Mu’awuyya called on the graduants to be good ambassadors and rededicate themselves to their studies to achieve the desired objectives.

Earlier in his welcome address, Parents Teachers Association (PTA), chairman of the school, Alhaji Sani said the school is dedicated to preparing children for future educational career, challenges and beyond.

He maintained that the school has competent teachers, adequate learning materials and conducive learning environment.

Alhaji Sani advised parents to be more vigilant due to the challenges bedevilling the country.

In his remarks, the proprietor of the school, Mr. Abba S. Abba said the school was established in 2015 with eight students.

He noted that the school has so far graduated 110 pupils, with over a thousand students from pre nursery, primary, secondary and islamiyya.

Mr. Abba commended the state government for mapping out policies and programs aimed at uplifting the standards of education.

The proprietor emphasized the need for Nigerians to pray for peace and stability in the country which will go a long way in boosting the morale of learners and instructors to seek for knowledge.

The event was marked by presentations, cultural dances, presentation of gifts and certificates to the best students in each class.
