Kaduna State University Begins Semester Exams

Kaduna State University (KASU) has  resumed the second semester of the 2020/2021 academic session for its undergraduate and postgraduate students.

This is coming five months after the  Academic Staff Union of Universities proceeded on strike.

The resumption was for the continuation  of the second semester examination,  which was postponed due to ASUU strike,  which began in February of this year.

Professor Abdullahi Ashafa, Acting Vice  Chancellor of Kaduna State University,  explained that the school does not have a labor dispute with the local branch of ASUU, so there was no need to keep the students at home.

He warned that students and lecturers who do not return to class would face severe  consequences.

ASUU had embarked on industrial action to protest poor funding of universities and non-implementation of agreements reached with federal government since February this year.
