Kwara state fire service says it has rescued the wife and four children of a 65 -year old -Salaudeen who set his house ablaze at Lekki Face One Eyenkorin Area in Ilorin over his wife alleged high frustration.
In a statement by the Head of Media and Publicity of the state fire service, Hassan Adekunle said the incident occurred at about 10:28hrs in the morning.
He said one Mr. Kola leaving in the neighborhood quickly summoned the fire service over the outbreak.
Adekunle explained that the Fire Service eliminated the ravaging fire on time and also prevented it from escalating to other buildings.
He noted that Salaudeen delibrately sprayed his own three bedrooms flat with petrol and then set it on fire due to his wife frustration.
In a remark the Director of Kwara State Fire Service, Prince Falade Olumuyiwa urged the general public to be more vigilant in their homes or offices to avoid preventable fire Incidents.
