NSG Plans to Encourage Youths to Engage in Cooperatives

Niger state government has said that it will encourage and engage youths to form cooperative societies and establish businesses for self reliance. 

Commissioner of Investment Commerce and Industries Hajiya Ramatu Yar’adua stated this on the occasion of 100 th International Day of Cooperatives held at Comrade Labaran Garba conference centre NUT secretariat Tungan goro Chanchaga Minna.

Represented by the Permanent Secretary Alh Baba Wachiko hajiya Ramatu Yar’adua said it would also helped to reduce cases of youth restiveness in parts of Niger state which was occasioned by cases of unemplyment and idleness.

She however explained that the ministry plan to engage the state ministry of finance on cooperative deductions made which has not been remitted to cooperative societies.

Head of Service hajiya Salamatu Abubakar who represented Governor Abubakar Sani Bello said they will continue to accord prominence to the welfate of its civil servants to actualise their potentials.

President Niger state Cooperative Federation limited Comrade Labaran Garba explained that this is a call to continue providing opportunities for young people women and the most vulnerable in our society so that they can achieve their hopes and dreams personally and professionally. 

Comrade Labaran Garba appealed to Niger state government to support the state Cooperative Federation in creating awareness the subject matter to succeed.
