Federal Fire Service Saves Properties Worth N3bn In Zaria This Year

Federal Fire Service has recorded eighty-seven cases of fire accidents in Zaria.

The Zaria Area Commanding Officer CSF Aminu Amadu stated this while addressing newsmen in Zaria.

The Area commanding officer pointed out that the command saved property of worth over three billion naira in one year.

According to him, it is important to sensitize the public especially younger ones on key moral obligations towards fire accidents in the environment.

CSF Aminu Amadu charged Zaria communities to maintain harmonious relationships with the Federal Fire Service Zaria commanding office to saddled its responsibilities.

In a remark, a professional Disaster Manager, professor Rabiu Muhammad of the ABU Zaria called on Nigerians to invest more to reduce the occurrence of Risk Disaster Management across the country.

Professor Rabiu Muhammad stressed the need for stakeholders in Disaster risk management to imbibe the culture of establishing avenues to educate the public, especially younger ones on fire accident prevention.

In a message, the Emir of Zazzau Malam Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli called on stakeholders in the education sector to include fire accident prevention in schools curricula right from primary schools.

Mal Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli represented by Fagacin Zazzau Alhaji Umar Muhammad called on the kaduna state government to reintroduce policies of providing fire fighting facilities in secondary schools across the state.

During the occasion a paper was presented to secondary schools students and the public on the danger of fire accident prevention and safety to save property and live of citizens.

Some students shared their experience during the paper presentation.
