Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar has urged Muslims to imbibe the spirit of forgiveness, shun acts that will attract the anger of Allah and utilise the first ten days of Dhul Hijjah in virtuous acts
He made this known In a statement signed by the Secretary General of Jama’atu Nasril Islam, JNI, Dr Khalid Abubakar Aliyu in Kaduna
Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar advised Muslims to be more generous in alms giving and also pray for an end to challenges facing the nation
Other recommended acts to be performed during the first ten days of Dhul Hijjah include; increased Remembrance of Allah; Glorifying, Praising and Thanking Him, Recitation of the Qur’an, Seeking Allah’s Forgiveness, Extending kindness to relatives, Visiting the Sick among others
Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) said; There are no great days most beloved to Allah for righteous deeds to be performed in, than the first ten days of Dhul Hijjah
