The Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar has directed the Muslim ummah to start looking for the cresent month of Dhul Hijjah from today the twenty ninth of June equivalent to the Islamic calendar 29th Dhul Qa’dah 1443 after Hijra.
This is made known in a statement signed by the chairman advisory committee on religious affairs Sultanate Council Sokoto state, Prof.Sambo Wali Junaidu.
He said if sighted, the information should be forwarded to the nearest village or district head for onward communication to the Sultan.
