National Population Commission in Jigawa state says it is committed to making the 2023 census a success through the adoption of technological innovations during the process.

The State Federal Commissioner of NPC, Alhaji Garba Zakar stated this in a statement made available to newsmen in Dutse the state capital.

According to him, the Commission has commenced a 12 days training for field personnel from 9 local government areas of the state.

He said the local governments include Dutse, Birnin Kudu, Miga, Hadejia and Mallam Madori.

Others include Birniwa, Maigatari, Babura and Kazaure.

Alhaji Garba Zakar said a total of 104 000 personnel have been drawn from the communities within the selected areas who would participate in a trial census expected to be conducted from 11th July to 24th July 2022.

He therefore urged them to demonstrate professionalism, diligence and patriotism during the process of the trial census.
