KADCHMA, NOA Advocate Grassroot Awareness On Quality Healthcare

National Orientation Agency NOA has pledged to deploy it structure in Kaduna to sensitize residents of the state on the importance to access affordable and quality health care services initiated by the State government.

The State Director of the agency, Alhaji Galadima Zubairu Soba stated this during a one day engagement meeting with the National Orientation Agency and other stakeholders in Kaduna organized by KADCHMA.

Alhaji Zubairu Soba explained that, the agency would deploy it community orientation and mobilisation officers to reach people at the grassroots on the imperative of the scheme and how to access it.

He pointed out that, the agency would also work with various groups at the community level such as community and religious leaders on the objective of the scheme.

According to him, National Orientation Agency is well positioned to effectively galvanize support and patronage to the laudable Kaduna health Contributory scheme.

Earlier, Kaduna State Commissioner for Health, Dr Amina Mohmmed Baloni described NOA as a strategic partner that could play vital role in assisting KADCHMA to achieve it objective especially in the area of enrolling the informal sector into the scheme.

Dr Baloni represented by the Director Health, Planning Research and Statistic of the Ministry, Dr Joseph Sunday noted that, the primary objective was to ensure that people from the informal sector are enrolled into the scheme because of its immense benefit.

She called on development partners and private sector to support the scheme to achieve the desire objective.

In a remark, the Director General, Kaduna state Contributory Health Management Authority KADCHMA, Malam Abubakar Hassan said the objective of the meeting was to orient the participants on the operations of the health scheme.

Malam Hassan maintained that, the meeting was also to discuss the areas of possible collaboration with NOA to create awareness to residents about the state Contributory Scheme.

He gave an assurance that, KADCHMA would continue to meet with stakeholders to map out strategies on how to carry out it messages to the residents of the state.
