FG Completes 46 Road Projects In Tertiary Institutions

Roads being Commissioned at Federal College of Education Technical Gusau

Federal Government has completed the construction and repairing of forty-six roads project interventions in tertiary institutions across the country.

The Minister of Works and Housing, Mr Babatunde Raji Fashola
disclosed this while commissioning some road projects at the Federal College of Education (Technical), Gusau, the Zamfara State Capital.

Mr Raji Fashola revealed that the administration of President Buhari had stepped up to better the lives of citizens in sectors of national life and lead the process of getting work done.

Represented by the Federal Controller of Works in charge of Zamfara State, Engineer Hassan Isah Mohammed said the roads have the total length of 1.50 kilometre which was constructed by federal ministry of works at federal college of Education technical, Gusau in Zamfara State.

According to him, the gap of infrastructural needs is steadily being bridged by this administration, adding that more projects were coming to make the environment more conducive for teaching and learning.

In a remark, the Deputy Governor of Zamfara State, Alhaji Hassan Nasiha commended the effort of the federal government for executing some developmental projects in the college and assured to contribute their quota to the development of education.

Speaking earlier, the Emir of Gusau, Alhaji Ibrahim Bello thanked the Federal Government for timely support on the infrastructural decay of some facilities in higher institutions of learning across the country.

He urged the beneficiaries of the projects to ensure the use and proper maintenance culture.

Similarly, the Acting Provost Federal College of Education technical Gusau, Dr Umar Bello said the project meant a lot to the school and the entire community.

He appreciated the kind assistance brought to the college by the federal government adding that, the roads network constructed would ease the movement of humans and vehicles within the premises.
