Intensify Prayers For A Peaceful Nigeria – Commissioner

Kano State Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, Dr Zahra’u Muhammad Umar has charged Nigerians to intensify prayers towards lasting peace and security in the country.

Dr Zahra’u made the call during a special prayer session organized by Sayyida Saratu Sheikh Nasir Kabara, in Dala Local Government Area of the state.

According to the commissioner, prayer is the only solution to the problems bedevilling the country.

Dr Zahra’u pointed out that, Kano state was one of the most peaceful in the country due to the tireless efforts of the state government in providing adequate security.

She commended the organizers of the prayer session and urged others to emulate the gesture.

In their separate remark, the chairperson of Shuara’ul Qadiriyya Sayyida Umamatu Sheikh Dr Muhammad Nasir Kabara and Sayyida Saratu Sheikh Dr Muhammad Nasir Kabara said the program was organized to seek Allah’s intervention on problems bedevilling the country.

They Maintained that women have a vital role to play in the development of society through inculcating moral values on their children while urging parents and guardians to be more vigilant and report any suspected person or character to relevant authorities.

Presenting a paper titled “Pathway to Moral Values in Islam” Sayyida Ummawiyya Sheikh Nasir Kabara and Hajiya Fatima Muhammad Fagge, identified education and good moral values as catalysts to mitigating societal vices.

The prayer session attracted top government functionaries, Islamic scholars, academicians, students and women from all works of life.
