A Presidential delegation led by the Minister of Aviation, Senator Hadi Sirika has paid a condolence visit to Katsina-based business mogul, Alhaji Dahiru Mangal over the death of his mother, Hajiya Murja Mangal who died last Friday after brief illness in Katsina.
The Minister said President Muhammadu Buhari was deeply shocked by the death of Hajiya Murja which he described as a great loss to Katsina State and the country in general.
He extended the Federal Government’s sympathy over her demise, Sirika noted that the deceased lived a fulfilled life.
The delagation which was received by Alhaji Dahiru Mangal alongside Governors Aminu Masari of Katsina and Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano States included the Minister of Water Resources, Alhaji Suleiman Adamu, that of Police Affairs, Maigari Dingyadi and Presidential Spokesman, Malam Garba Shehu.
Meanwhile a delegation from the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria, FRCN, has also paid a condolence visit to Alhaji Dahiru Mangal over the loss.
Representing the Director-General of the Corporation, the General Manager Companion FM Katsina, Malam Mukhtar Dutsinma described Hajiya Murja’s death as a huge loss to the country.
He said she will be remembered for her philanthropic works which have touched thousands of lives both within and outside Katsina State.
Our correspondent reports that the residence of Alhaji Dahiru Mangal was agog with sympathizers from different parts of the country that include governors, federal and state lawmakers, traditional rulers and business men and women.
Aged eighty-five, Hajiya Murja Mangal is survived by five children and many grandchildren.
