Sir Ahmadu Bello Memorial Foundation Holds 8th Annual Lecture

Sir Ahmadu Bello Memorial Foundation has concluded arrangement to hold it 8th Annual Sir Ahmadu Bello Memorial Lecture on Leadership and Good Governance.

In a Statement by Director General of the Foundation, Alhaji Abubakar Gambo Umar said the Memorial lecture tagged “Reviving the Northern Traditional Institutions: “Imperative for Peace and Security in Northern Nigeria”.

Alhaji Gambo Umar explained that, the lecture series was held annually where experts, analysts, policy makers and stakeholders converge to discuss topical issues and proffer solutions to them.

According Abubakar Umar, Vice President Professor Yemi Osinbajo, Executive Governor of Plateau State and Chairman of Northern States Governors’ Forum, Mr Simon Bako Lalong and Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje of Kano State are expected to attend the event.

He said the event would hold at the Coronation Hall of the Kano State Government House on Tuesday 18th January, 2022 by 10am.

The Director General pointed out that, Emir of Lafia, Justice Sidi Bage would be the Guest Speaker at the event.

Other eminent Nigerians who will discuss and proffer solutions on the theme include, Justice Ishaq Bello, Former Chief Justice of the FCT, Professor Nancy Agbe, Former Vice University of Mkar, Benue State and Professor Usman Abubakar of the Department of Local Government and Development Studies Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.

Special Guests at the event include Executive Governors, Members of the States and National Assemblies, Hon Ministers, Royal Fathers, Religious Leaders, Elder Statesmen, Political Leaders, Heads of MDAs and all Stakeholders.

Alhaji Abubakar Gambo Umar maintained that, Prominent personalities who have made immense contributions to the development of the country would also be honoured at the event.
