Clerics Pray For Lasting Peace, Unity In Nigeria

Some faithfuls from the two major religions have prayed for all leaders Including President Muhammadu Buhari to lead the nation to achieve lasting peace, unity and rapid development in the Country.

The event tagged National prayers for Mr President and Nigeria Armed Forces organized by a group, Gbemisola Ruqayyah Saraki Movement, FCT Chapter, supported by the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria and Coordinated by the Coalition of Inter-Faith Group, has its theme: ” the Wisdom of God in such a time as this”.

The religious Faithfuls believed Nigeria needed more prayers and support from all and sundry than ever before for leaders to get it right on the affairs of the Country.

While leading intercessory prayers for all leaders, President Muslim and Christian Love Foundation, Bishop Ugo Ugokwe prayed to God to restore the lost Glory of the Nation and provide guidance and victory for security operatives against criminal elements.

Muslim leader of the group, Imam Aliyu Hussaini prayed Almighty Allah to help President Muhammadu Buhari with the needed wisdom to paddle the affairs of the country to the promised land.

The Convener, Mr Karim Abdullahi who said the gathering became necessary for all Nigerians irrespective of their religion and political difference, called on Politicians and their followers to have an interest in the nation above any other.

Mr Abdullahi also called on the Youth to desist from abusing political office holders but support them with good ideas and prayers.
