This is to serve as a damage control mechanism inview of the negative consequence such news may caused to a given local government, state or country as a whole..

Commissioner of Police in charge of Niger state Mr Monday Bala Kuryas gave the advice while interacting with Newsmen in Minna

Mr Monday Bala Kuryas also cautioned them against embarking on sensational stories capable of instiling fear in the mind of Nigerians in addition to disuniting the country.

He urged them to place mọre emphasis on stories that further unite the country as an indivisible entity for the good of all.

Mr Monday Bala Kuryas solicited for the support of Journalists in Niger state to enable the Command discharge its duties deligently.

He said working in synergy between the Media and Police to proper solutions on challenges bedevilling Niger state and Nigeria would be of immense benefit to both parties.

Mr Monday Bala Kuryas who maintained that he held Journalists in high esteem however added that he valued the role of Media in shaping and moulding public opinion while assuring them of his rediness to work with them.
