Religious Leaders Seek Special Prayers For Peace In Zamfara

As the year 2021 comes to an end, religious leaders in Zamfara State have called for special and frequent prayers for sustainable peace and stability to prevail in the state and the country in general.

The religious leaders made the call in an interview with Radio Nigeria Kaduna in Gusau, the State Capital.

Speaking, the State Commissioner, Religious Affairs, Dr Muhammad Tukur Sani Jangebe has described 2021 as a year full of tragedies that need total repentance to Almighty Allah for protection from witnessing such calamities.

He also called on Muslims ummah to surrender and submit themselves to the will of God and the teachings of Prophet Muhammad Peace Be Upon Him and to avoid any acts capable of tarnishing their image and that of the religion.

Similarly, in his contribution, Sheik umar kanoma has called for prayers to end banditry and other related crimes in the state, region and the country at large.

He also urged Muslims to always fear Allah in their day to day activities, redouble their Ibadat and always ask for forgiveness from the Almighty Allah.

Also speaking, the Chairperson Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN women wing Zamfara State, Lami Mangze advocated for living in peace and harmony with everyone and to forgive any who offended you.

In a related development, Bishop Christ Cathedral, Anglican communion Church, John Danbita also called on Christians to shun any negativity for peace and stability of Zamfara state and the nation at large.

Similarly, the Emir of Gusau, Alhaji Ibrahim Bello who spoke through Chiroman Gusau, Alhaji Mainasara Bello, urged people to always live in peace as well as to imbibe the culture of togetherness, be united and help each other.

Radio Nigeria Reports that Zamfara State is one among others that are facing security challenges for the past twelve years as well as political and socio-economic instabilities.
