Peace FM: Radio Nigeria Staff Urged To Promote Peace In Their Reportage

Staff of Radio Nigeria Peace Fm have been charged to produce content that will promote peace and development, as the state is recovering from more than decade-long insurgency. 

General Manager of the station, Hajiya Fatima Audu Yusuf gave the charge during end of year general meeting and presentation of welfare packages at the broadcasting house Maiduguri. 

She stressed that Radio Nigeria had a responsibility of sustaining the relative peace being enjoyed, promote unity and harmonious coexistence which the state and the entire country was in dire need of.

The General Manager enjoined staff to always adopt the spirit of team work, commitment to duty and creativity as well as aggressive marketing drive.

“Members of the Station need to imbibe the culture of forgiveness and embrace the coming year with fresh minds, forgive anyone who offended you and any one found wanting, punitive measures await him or her, Hajiya Fatima stressed “

The General Manager urged staff to give maximum cooperation and support to the newly appointed Zonal Director North East to enable him succeed. 

While commending the Director General and the Zonal Director for always responding to the demands of the station, Hajiya Fatima Yusuf equally solicited for more operational equipment for the station to perform optimally.

She then extended the station’s appreciation to Borno state Governor Babagana Zulum and appealed for additional logistic support.

At the end of the meeting, staff were presented with 12kg bag of rice each, packets of seasoning, meat and cash assistance.
